Behind the Studio Door (with guided tours)
As Queen Street Studios marks its 40th anniversary, we are delighted to announce a special open day, ‘Behind the Studio Door’, on 26 October 2024.
On this date, we invite you to take a look behind the studio doors of some of Belfast’s brightest emerging and established artists. Visitors are free to explore the studios independently or join a guided tour to hear a select number of artists talk about their processes and influences.

We can take a maximum of 15 people on each tour.

Guided Tour 1
Time: 12.30pm

Artist Studios: Niamh Clarke/Sharon McKeown (shared studio), Catherine Davison, Dan Ferguson, Kate O’Neill and Sinead McKeever.
Guided Tour 2
Time: 2pm
Led by: Sharon Kelly
Artist Studios: Ashley B. Holmes, Ian Cumberland, Alacoque Davey, Karl Hagan and Vasiliki Stasinaki.
Guided Tour 3
Time: 3.30pm
Led by: Meadhbh McIlgorm
Artist Studios: Majella Clancy, Gerry Devlin, Sharon Kelly, Gail Ritchie and Anushiya Sundaralingam.
Attending our open studios event will also provide an ideal opportunity to view ‘We are QSS at 40’, a large scale exhibition of over sixty artist’s works curated by Eamonn Maxwell. Whilst the majority of the exhibiting artists are current studio holders (including Susan Connolly, Amanda Coogan, Joy Gerrard, Sharon Kelly, Mark McGreevy and Jennifer Trouton), works by a number of past members from across the last four decades have also been included.
