The Shape of a Pocket – Group Exhibition

Taking place until 31st August at Catalyst Arts, The Shape of a Pocket is a group exhibition curated by Dougal McKenzie and Christopher Hanlon.

“The pocket in question is a small pocket of resistance. A pocket is formed when two or more people come together in agreement….”

– John Berger

Curated by Dougal McKenzie and Christopher Hanlon, ‘The Shape of a Pocket’ looks at how artists in Belfast think about painting and pictures today, and contemplates the resistance of artist-led spaces and their significance in defining innovation, renewal and experimentation within the art scene of Northern Ireland.
