“The idea for this week’s collection came from a photo of a curator posing in the gallery space among the installed work, posing in different ways that mirror or copy the shapes and gestures in the art. This made me think of “mirror neurones”, which fire in our brain when we see a certain action performed, reacting as if we were the ones performing and often motivate us to act as well (think about seeing someone yawning, the impact it has is a great example). I thought that mirror neurones can be a great metaphor for solidarity and for inspiration. I selected artworks that connect to each other through their shapes, angles, and colours, each feels like the composition is also a choreography.” Moran Been-noon
